Gluten Free Oatmeal Bread Recipes

Oatmeal Bread Recipe Ingredients:

  •  2 1/2 cup water

  • 1/3 cup butter

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 4 cup gluten free flour

  • 2/3 cup dry milk powder

  • 2. tsp xanthan gum

  • 1 cup Gluten Free Oats

  • 2 pkgs or 5 1/2 tsp yeast

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

  • 1 tsp dough enhancer

  • 1 tbsp water

  • 1 tsp vinegar

  • 2 tbsp Gluten Free Oats (crushed)

Gluten Free Oatmeal Bread Preparation:

  1. Combine water, honey and butter in small saucepan.

  2. Heat over low heat until butter is melted and liquids just start to steam, but not boil.

  3. Sift 4 cups gf flour mix, salt, dry milk, and yeast together.

  4. Place in mixing bowl for heavy mixer.

  5. Stir in oats and pour in warm liquids into flour mixture and mix for 2 minutes or until mixture is smooth.

  6. Add lightly beaten egg and vinegar.

  7. Beat for 3 1/2 minutes with heavy mixer.

  8. Place bread dough into greased loaf pans (about half full).

  9. Preheat oven to 375.

  10. Cover and let dough rise just to top of pan.

  11. Break up 2 T. oats with fingers.

  12. Combine egg white and water.

  13. Brush tops of loaves with mixture.

  14. Sprinkle with oatmeal.

  15. Bake for 40-45 minutes.

  16. If top starts getting brown after 30 minutes of baking, cover with aluminum foil to prevent top from getting too dark.

  17. Let set in pan for 5 minutes and then remove from pan to cool entirely on rack before slicing.
